Opening Reception: Saturday, September 9th
All work to be delivered at 10AM on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023.
Shipping Receiving Dates: August 29th - September 5th, 2023: Note the Gallery is not open on Mondays or Sundays, so please take this in consideration when shipping!
Pick Up of Work: Saturday, Nov. 11th: as late in the day as possible (we are open until 6pm). Otherwise, all work will need to be picked up exactly at 10am on Tuesday, Nov. 14th.

About:

Lois Lambert Gallery opened originally as Gallery of Functional Art in 1987. The gallery was the first tenant in the Frank Gehry’s Edgemar building in Santa Monica, California. In 1994, Lois moved the gallery to Bergamot Station and opened Lois Lambert Gallery. Lois Lambert Gallery exhibits artists' working in painting, sculpture, mixed media, and photography.  In an adjacent space Our Gallery Store opened, featuring high design and artist-made objects. The Project Room was subsequently added, offering a more intimate space for exhibitions. In 2017, the Upstairs Gallery was created, adding additional space for artwork. 

Lois Lambert Gallery is dedicated to bringing thoughtful, sometimes provocative, and always original art to the public.

Limits:
Small works under 24” framed. No theme! Just printmaking! Prints that are more than 25% digital will not be accepted. The works will be hung salon style and must be framed and wired for hanging. Limit 3 entries per member. Must be a LAPS member in good standing.

Conditions:

  1. Artists shall be represented by the LOIS LAMBERT GALLERY/TheUpstairs Gallery (“Gallery”) for a period of Sept. 9, 2023 - Nov. 11, 2023, at which time the representation shall terminate unless extended by the “Solo Agreement”. The Gallery shall have exclusive representation of the Artist’s work in Los Angeles/Santa Monica, CA.
  2. Artists shall deliver consigned works on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023. Alternatively, shipped works will be received between August 29th and September 5th, 2023.
  3. Artists must deliver and pick up their work. Shipped works must include return shipping. Note the Gallery is not open on Mondays or Sundays, so please take this in consideration when shipping!
  4. Artists shall supply Gallery with resumes, JPGS, and similar materials, if available, to aid Gallery in sales of consigned work. 
  5. Artists shall retain ownership of all consigned works until sold, and Artist’s share is remitted by Gallery.
  6. Artists shall retain possession of all copyrights and reproduction rights unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. When participating in any non-commercial exhibition while under this Agreement, Artist is required to identify Gallery as follows: “Courtesy of LOIS LAMBERT GALLERY, Santa Monica, CA”. 
  7. Gallery shall sell each work at price agreed upon. Gallery retains the right  to lower the price if requested, and agreed upon by Artist. Gallery shall receive 50% commission on any sale generated by Gallery on its premises or elsewhere, provided Artist receives (artist’s) set price. Gallery will pay artist 50% of sale, unless otherwise agreed upon, 30 days from the close of the exhibition. Gallery retains the right to accept installment payments and, in doing so, agrees to pay Artist in proportion to Gallery’s receipt of each installment. Gallery shall notify Artist of any sale within 30 days of sale, or receipt of installment. Artist prizes are not subject to Gallery commission. Gallery shall carry customary commercial insurance for fire, theft and vandalism, excluding earthquake coverage. 
  8. Gallery retains the right to all client information as proprietary information and shall not release it unless otherwise agreed upon by all parties. 
  9. Artists shall sign a contract with Gallery binding them to the above conditions.
